Tania Cantrell Rosas-Moreno, Ph.D., is a professor in Loyola University Maryland’s Department of Communication and Media. She also serves as program adviser for Loyola’s Latin American and Latino Studies Program as well as the faculty adviser for Loyola’s national award-winning Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter. She is an (inter)national award-winning scholar and professional committed to social justice. Relying on her diverse PR background bolstered through years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she serves as the lead instructor for Loyola’s Senior PR Capstone. As such, she has guided 90+ student teams as they’ve lobbied successfully for statewide legislation against sex trafficking; raised thousands for various causes; event-planned annual affairs; built social media architectures; taught/engaged in media relations; etc. Since becoming adviser in 2013, her PRSSA students have received national and regional recognitions annually, claiming the 2014 and 2023 PRSSA Teahan Awards in Community Service; seven consecutive (2017-2023) National Star Chapter designations; etc. She is a 2021 PRNews CSR & Diversity Outstanding Educator of Year; 2020 Ragan’s Top Women in Communications recipient; a 2019 PRNews’ Top Women in PR honoree; the 2018 PRSA-MD Educator of the Year; the 2016 AEJMC Mary Ann Yodelis Smith Award for Feminist Scholarship awardee as well as Loyola’s Faculty Award for Excellence in Engaged Scholarship designee. She holds a BA (University Honors) and an MA (Top Scholar) from BYU. Her Ph.D. is from the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Journalism, with a Portfolio in Nonprofit Studies from the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Above all, she treasures her faith and family of five.
Paco M. Rosas-Moreno

Paco M. Rosas-Moreno is a seasoned IT executive with over a decade of expertise in leading cybersecurity initiatives, including auditing, penetration testing and risk mitigation, to safeguard client data across sectors. He has demonstrated excellence in steering projects that fortify data protection, aligning with NIST SP 800-53 standards. Skilled in orchestrating disaster recovery and cyber readiness, Paco is adept at merging IT security with strategic business goals. He has demonstrated leadership experience serving top-ranking government agencies with a proven history of success overseeing complex security response projects requiring special experience in analyzing, developing and implementing optimal data security plans. Following his undergraduate days at Texas A&M University-Kingsville where he double majored in communications and Spanish, Paco earned his MS in cybersecurity risk and strategy through NYU’s School of Law and Tandon School of Engineering. In addition, Paco holds an MBA and almost every cert possible in the cybersecurity sector, including the gold standard CISSP. When he isn’t actively protecting organizations and people, he is busy adventuring with his wife and three children, hunting down Darth Vader paraphernalia and other retro memorabilia, and sneaking time to play his guitars.
